I think that speakers get something from speaking to our early intervention providers, but they also give to our early intervention providers. I feel like it deepens my own understanding of a topic that I felt good about to start with and then just feel even more knowledgeable when I'm done.
We have so many great people that come to this conference that are just here to learn. And so we've always had great audiences, people that are engaged with the sessions that, you know, have great questions but also great ideas. And so not only do I get to share information as a presenter, I get to learn from the people that are attending as well.
Mostly what I gain from speaking is an opportunity to hear the feedback from the people in the room. I don't ever speak without stopping and asking questions and seeking response to what I'm saying. And I get a room full of early interventionists, and I get to hear what their take is on what I'm saying, and it's often a little bit different from the take of an early education person. Early interventionists are doing something very specific in a very specific way, and I love to hear what they have to say about the ideas that I'm putting out.
We love participating. Our company, Jacob's Ladder Pediatrics, always has at least three or four speakers, and so it's a chance for us to share our knowledge and to learn so much from all of our colleagues.
There's so many people throughout the early intervention community, whether it be providers, service coordinators, our evaluation teams, our community partners, who just have so much information that they need to share, and we want them to be here. We celebrate them for being here, and we honestly couldn't do the conference without them.
